Rural Road Density

The average rural road density of the province as of 1996 is 0.65 kilometers per square kilometer figured at 0.85 below the ideal road density of 1.5 km/km.. The municipality of Socorro has a lowest rural road density of 0.37 km/km©÷ suggesting that the Bucas Grande Island is not fairly served with roads among the twenty seven municipalities. The municipality of Gen. Luna has the highest rural road density of 3.38 km/km. This is attributed to the presence of more national, provincial and barangays roads traversing within production land. About 13 municipalities are having a rural road density below the ideal rural density.
