To reach Siargao, you hire off to Surigao City on northeastern Mindanao, where there are daily fast craft vessels plying the Surigao City-Siargao route. From Manila, one can take the daily flight to nearby Butuan. A bus ride from Butuan to Surigao takes 2 hrs. & 30 minutes. Boats also ply the Cebu - Surigao route. Travel to Surigao from within Mindanao should be no problem since buses serve Surigao City 24-hours a day. Upon arriving at the peir in Dapa town on Siargao Island, you can take a jeepney or a motorcycle to General Luna town.
